Farrah Karapetian

Farrah Karapetian

Farrah Karapetian is an artist and writer whose practice explores questions of agency, memory, and transformation through experimental photographic processes. Her work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including Garage Museum of Contemporary Art (Moscow) and is held in the collections of the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA).

Karapetian holds a BA from Yale University and an MFA from UCLA. She lives in Los Angeles and is an Associate Professor of Art at the University of San Diego.

During her residency at CCA Artist Residencies, Karapetian will continue developing a project drawing connections between the landscapes and histories of Uzbekistan and northern Mexico.
