About the CCA Tashkent Library
On the third floor of the Service Building, the CCA Tashkent Library holds Central Asia's first curatorial library — a specialist research collection devoted to art, visual cultures and critical theory, with a deliberate emphasis on perspectives from the Global Majority World. Its shelves bring together publications on art history, textiles and craft from Uzbekistan and beyond, complemented by a growing artists' studio archive documenting the practices of local artists working today. Together, the collection and archive reflect Tashkent's long history as a crossroads of artistic and intellectual exchange, gathering voices from the region and beyond under one roof.
Access to the Library is free and open to all, in keeping with the Centre's founding commitment to remain an inclusive meeting point for the city and the wider region. Visitors are asked to book their place in advance, reserving a slot to read, research or study within the space; this appointment-based system allows the Library to remain a considered environment suited to sustained work rather than passing visits.
Once booked, readers are welcome to spend their time immersed in the collection, whether pursuing a specific line of research or exploring the archive more broadly.

Visitors may select the duration of their visit according to their preference.
Each booking is issued for one person.
