Bahbak Hashemi-Nezhad’s multi-scale practice spans from design for the public realm, interior spaces, and objects to publications, games, and food.

Engaging with design as a social practice, his projects are responses to contemporary conditions, carrying both questions and ideas around materiality, production, labour, and identity, through which he often develops methodologies and tools that actively engage people in design processes.

He has undertaken major commissions for the Greater London Authority and Tokyo Metropolitan Government, alongside collaborations with institutions such as the Serpentine Galleries, the V&A Museum, Shanghai Biennial, Liverpool Biennial, and Nottingham Contemporary.
