Talk with Francesca Amfitheatrof

On 26 September, CCA Tashkent hosted jewellery designer Francesca Amfitheatrof for Fantastical Jewels: My Creative Journey, a talk exploring her creative practice and experience in the jewellery industry.

Amfitheatrof shared her approach to working with gemstones and materials, and reflected on the relationship between jewellery and the body. She spoke about the importance of creating pieces that are not only visually compelling but also comfortable to wear, as well as balancing the heritage of established jewellery houses with new ideas and experimentation.

The talk also touched on craftsmanship, creative freedom and the importance of maintaining an individual vision while continuing to evolve. It concluded with a Q&A, giving the audience an opportunity to ask Amfitheatrof about her work and creative process.
