Intimate Conversation with Kulapat Yantrasast

On 12 September, CCA Tashkent hosted The Rootless Nomad: An Intimate Conversation with Kulapat Yantrasast.

He reflected on the interconnected nature of architecture, art and culture, and on the importance of creating spaces centred around people and their experiences. He spoke about architecture as a way of expressing and showcasing culture, shaped by the communities and places it serves.

Yantrasast also shared his vision for the Bukhara Biennial, emphasising that all works for the Biennial will be produced entirely in Uzbekistan. He spoke about working with and introducing new artisans through the Biennial, and about his ambition for the project to remain deeply rooted in Bukhara — its culture, its people and the knowledge and traditions that continue to shape the city.
